Fabio + Camila ● Marriage Proposal on NYE in NYC

I really love photographing proposals. I had a ridiculous amount of fun being involved in Fabio’s proposal to Camila. The two of them as well as some close family members had come to NYC from Brazil for a vacation and to ring in the new year. Fabio wanted to propose on New Year’s Eve and hired Joe Vissichelli (who I’ve worked with on Jose’s and Michael’s proposals) to approach them while they were sightseeing around the Plaza Hotel and ask them if they wanted a caricature done. Of course, the caricature had been drawn in advance and written at the top was Fabio’s proposal. Siiiggghhh!! Camila was SHOCKED! At one point during our subsequent engagement shoot she became overwhelemed with emotion

Kelly + Frank ● New York City Winter Elopement

Kelly and Frank have been dating for over eight years and engaged for over two. They couldn’t resist the charm and practicality of coming to NYC to get married at City Hall. It was the Friday before Christmas (and all through the house…) and City Hall was the busiest I’ve EVER seen it! We made it through, though, and then headed up to Central Park and Lincoln Center for some more photos. I love the city at Christmas time and enjoyed spending the day with Kelly and Frank. I was honored to also be their witness!

Christina and Robert were married the day after Christmas down at City Hall. Their closest family was present and it was a beautiful, emotion-filled ceremony. Afterwards we went to Central Park for some photos before finishing at their hotel!

It was a chilly day at the end of December. Larry wanted to make his proposal to Fran extra special, so he decided to hire a photographer to capture the moment – and have engagement photos done as well. Larry chose the backdrop of the Gapstow Bridge in Central Park with the Plaza Hotel in the background for the proposal. People who were on the bridge at the time saw what was going on and started cheering when Fran said yes!
