Kyla + Greg ● Hartford Wedding Photography {Wickham Park}

Ahhh. I’m so excited to be sharing this wedding! A few weeks ago, I had the honor of photographing Kyla and Greg’s gorgeous wedding at Wickham Park in Manchester, Connecticut (right outside of Hartford).

Here’s the fun part – I have known Greg since we were little kids growing up in central Massachusetts. Greg is the younger brother of my friend Marie. Marie and I have been friends since we were five years old! I spent many, many hours at their house when I was younger. I never would’ve imagined in a million years that one day we’d all eventually grow up and get married, and that I would be the one who would be photographing Greg’s wedding!

Though it rained for most of the day, shortly after the ceremony the sun started peeking through the clouds. This meant we were able to do all the formal shots and portraits outside. I wanted to high five it out with Mother Nature for that one! (And I would too, if I knew how to go about doing it)

And the details…ahh the details! Kyla is a DIY goddess. Seriously. See her bouquet? Yeah, she did that herself. Most of the details of the wedding were DIY projects. I was in awe. The bridesmaids dresses were created by an Etsy designer, Dalina, and all were customized by each bridesmaid. Kyla and Greg live in Virginia so a lot of their details incorporated life down South. Love!!

I love meeting new vendors and seeing them in action, and for Kyla and Greg’s wedding I had the opportunity to meet Melissa Wilson of M.A.W. Beauty Hair and Makeup Studio in Pawtucket, Rhode Island, who made Kyla look absolutely stunning on her wedding day.
