This engagement shoot was a long time coming. So long, in fact, it actually took place after Krista and Christoph were married!
Krista sent her first email to me August 12, 2011. She and her fiance were coming to the city (all the way from Vancouver) in a few weeks’ time and wanted to have their engagement photos done while there. Awesomesauce! So we set it up and all was good.
Then a little thing called Hurricane Irene happened. Irene, while not the catastrophically damaging hurricane initially predicted, did cause some damage in the city. It also disrupted travel to, from, and within NYC for days. Krista and Christoph’s trip was cancelled and they were devastated.
Fast forward to June. Krista and Christoph made that trip to NYC happen. On a beautiful, sun-drenched evening we got the photos they had been wanting for almost a year. The Manhattan skyline. Brooklyn Heights. The Brooklyn Bridge!
Sometimes, life throws you a curveball. But you always get another chance
